Say what one will about Joshua and the Ruiz loss, but at least he properly manned up in defeat – more than a lot of other fighters, let alone world champions at the very top of the food chain. First we had Ruiz, now Wilder talking excuses like beeyatches.

Great point. Wilder had "zero" issues walking over the top ropes with his supposedly weak heavy burdened legs when he entered the ring.

Wilder still a little punch drunk from getting hit with the hand wraps all night long. The costume was irrelevant, it was the gloves that had Wilder off kilter all night long.

I initially gave Tyson his props, but apun further investigation it's seems that he had some sort of flappy glove gimmick going on which allowed him to hit Wilder without the padding in front of his glove.

Likely a combination of the costume AND a career-high weight (mind you ALL of it upper body weight, Wilder can't be skipping leg day lol). If Wilder truly believes the costume did him in, the rematch will play out even worse. He'll come in even heavier determined to KO Fury, but with zero added leg strength.

I am a Wilder fan ( and a Fury fan as well) but what Wilder is doing right now is sooooooo disappointing.


Anthony Joshua lost to Ruiz and he had things going on in the background that could have contributed to his loss but you know what, he man up, gave Ruiz full credit and didn't bring up one excuse.

Even now, that Joshua has his belts back, you still don't hear excuses from him regarding the first fight.

Wilder does not know how to handle a loss, I can't imagine Fury making these excuses.

Wilder just keep this ish to himself, do his move behind the scene and come back stronger.
