Comments Thread For: Fury-Wilder II Prelims Average 1.42 Million Viewers Across ESPN, Fox Sports Platforms

The past month has emphatically proven that the sport flows better when all parties work together. A collaborative effort between ESPN and Fox Sports to present the February 22 rematch between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder resulted in unprecedented programming measures, a packed venue and favorable ratings leading up to the actual Pay-Per-View event. The televised preliminary undercard produced a combined average viewership of 1.42 million from coverage airing live across ESPN and Fox Sports platforms from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Expect it to come well short of 2mill PPV buys, but it was an excellent fight and the more that saw it, the better, as it was a compelling advert for the sport as a whole.

Martin is a household name now. Bigger star than everyone other than Fury and Joshua. Another win for boxing.

Seems like it did well I remember a few weeks ago people were complaining that they showed the ads during the superbowl lmao in the end boxing wins and that's all that matters even fighters and fight fans from other combat sports were watching this fight.

Those numbers would have been much better if the baddest man on the planet didn't get his ass kicked by walking like a turtle in a 40# Holly-ween costume for 3 minutes.... LMFAO !! BUMSQUAD
