Another letdown for American Heavyweight boxing

I was really hoping Wilder would win & win big!

But yet again - as great as the fight and hype was for boxing, it was yet another letdown for American Heavyweight boxing.

It reminded me of Rahman vs. Lewis II & Lewis vs. Tyson.

Both big fights that could had put USA back on the heavyweight map by getting a true lineal champ.

But times they got Knocked out.

Yes Rahman WAS the lineal champ in 2001 but only for 7 months.
Never really got his own reign.

Tyson winning was a GREAT win for BOXING. He righted a wrong. All this nationalist and race crap are for people that haven't accomplished anything themselves and have to live vicariously through others.

Instead of criticising Wilder, why aren’t we praising Fury???

By disparaging Wilder, it only hurts the significance of Fury’s win.

This UK vs US stuff is so sad fella’s...

I spoke to loads of American fans last weekend, they weren’t saying Wilder was the second coming of Ali or anything and most of them gave Fury full credit.

Of course not. The better man and boxer definitely won.

        No question about it.

But as big as Joshua vs. Fury will be - it won't get the same hype, attention nor live gate as Wilder vs. Fury II

Every country is on the world map.

Of course the biggest live gate and PPV money will be generated in the US - but don't tell me that the US have been dominating the heavyweight division the past 20 years.
