Comments Thread For: Wallin To Fury: I Want a Rematch, I'll Finish What I Started!

Brand-new WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury wasn't the only fighter whose stock rose dramatically with his dominant seventh-round stoppage of Deontay Wilder Saturday night. By virtue of his strong performance against Fury last September, Sweden's IBF #15-ranked Otto Wallin (20-1, 13 KOs) must now be considered a serious force in the big man's division.

Well, Wallin Fury II would probably be more competitive than Fury Wilder III so.....

Wallin wasn't involved with Fury-Wilder 2, but it turned out he was a huge beneficiary of the fight.

He opened a cut on Fury that Wilder couldn't reopen. If Wallin beats a couple of top 10 Heavyweights, he could work his way into a big rematch with Fury. Clips of the bloody faced Fury could sell the rematch.

Not bad for a guy who was meant to be a footnote on Fury's resume.

You started nothing, son. You lost about 10 -2 in rounds.

Beat somebody decent and you will maybe become important.

I don't think alot of people realize that Saturday nights version of Tyson Fury wasn't the same guy Otto Wallin fought. I really think he and alot of people believe that it was. Wilder would KO Wallin inside 4 rounds. I've been watching boxing along time and I've never seen that Tyson Fury and he moved from 3 to 1 on my list. Now that's not to say Wilder couldn't catch him and win the trilogy but Fury will be the rightful favorite. Deontay will be ready for that next time though and it will be more competitive but I'd still imagine Fury wins. I get mad at guys like Hearn and even now Frank Warren calling for the Undisputed fight. When it was pre fight Warren criticized Hearn for not acknowledging the loser has a rematch clause but now that Tyson has won he wants to move past it. ALSO it's funny when AJ lost Hearn was all about him getting his rematch and all that but he doesn't want to allow and afford Wilder the same respect and due. So many Hypocrites. Oh well, Heavyweight boxing is in good hands and back on top despite all of the nonsense.

If Fury was in the shape and mindset he was Saturday Wallin wouldn't last three rounds!

Now that Wilder has lost people like Warren are screaming for unification because they honestly didnt think Fury would win. I agree I think Fury has Wilder's number and I was rooting for Wilder and still am. The man has talent and if all else a punchers chance to reclaim his titles.
