I'm not going to take a defeatist attitude. If Wilder wants to continue fighting, I support him. I want to see how he comes back from his first knockout loss. If he loses again, there's no shame in that. But let's give the man a chance just as we've given past champions the chance at redemption.
I was picking up on him before he lost the fight. If you have eyes, use them.

Well, this is the result. He ran into someone that he needed more tools against. And those tools weren't there.

If he rematches Fury immediately the result is going to be the same. He needs a complete boxing makeover to be competitive, and those don't happen overnight.
Wilder doesn't have a plan B and it is too late to address that issue now. He will forever be known as a Big Right Hand, and nothing else

Something interesting; Fury took centre ring and made Wilder circle clockwise around him, where it was easier for Fury to get his shots off, and harder for Wilder... Just seeing that in rounds one, two, three... that's enough to tell you that Wilder has a very perfunctory boxing IQ, basic at best. This is the sort of thing you see in beginners, circling the same way constantly. It is incredible that Wilder reached the world stage, having failed to develop his fundamentals

His legs failed him -- I think he's done and that even he knows that... But Wilder can still make some decent money vs Fury and he may even win by some miracle... But if he ducks Fury now, Wilder will not find the motivation to fight in-house for $1-2 million anymore...

Andre Ward is the best manager and chief adviser for Wilder. Bronze bomber got destroyed and outclassed even with wide mouth. All yee Deontay bandwagon, roar he's gonna beat AJ clean......... I can't more. War AJ vs FURY in December.

Good for you. I pick a lot of winners correctly too. I was one of the few on this forum who picked Fury to beat Wladimir before they fought. I'm a fan of Fury, and I think he's good for the sport, but he has weaknesses. I've seen film studies on him. Do I think Wilder can beat him? Yes, absolutely.

As a black man (yes, I'm going there)...I'm disappointed in black fans I've seen over the past couple of days. Wilder was all about speaking for the people and so on and black people loved him....before Saturday night.

Now....but now....all you see is memes and people stating how he ruined black history month. FOH! Again, they love you til they don't...that's why I like when Floyd fights strictly for money and doesn't get caught up in what "fans" want. I get it now.

Ward is spot on here. For a Bronze medalist, Wilder surely reduced himself to a one-handed show dog for the public. I hate that, especially since he has a good jab and left hook (when he uses it). That's my only gripe.

He does need to make some adjustments on his camp, or get this...maybe, just maybe his team doesn't wanna be honest with him.

This seems to be the most Wilder's made in a fight, but I could be wrong. Sadly, if he wants to stay in the talks, he's gonna have to go back after Fury. If he knocks Fury out, most of this mess will blow over....but he still has some work to do.

Ward loves to talk about Wilder but at the same time we know he is talking about Kovalev. He is super salty that Kovalev gave him an L the first fight.

Personally I think Wilder should take the trilogy and then retire. He has been looking more and more stiff and robotic over his past few fights. He either is not training correctly at all or his body is failing him. He cannot even get out of the way of punches. It is like he has no reflexes at all or his body is refusing to move. Seeing his head pop back like a PEZ any time Fury threw and landed was disturbing for me to watch. Something is off with him.

It won't be easy, but it's definitely possible. I'd rather see him take on the biggest challenges than take soft fights.
It makes me kind of sad that we won't ever see the kinds of wars that boxing used to have, and maybe, just MAYBE, Wilder could have landed a big equalising shot if the fight had gone on a little bit longer... so I sympathise with what you're saying. But realistically, there was no need for Wilder to carry on shipping so much punishment and the fight was stopped at the right time.

The rematch, what is the point? Wilder has ZERO alternative gameplans to play with, the big right hand is all he has. Fury will just mow him down again. Fury has ruined him, it's a lose-lose for Wilder now whatever he does. Turn down the rematch, lose that payday. Take the rematch, take a beating.

The big problem is Wilder is like what? 34,35? His fundamentals are pure trash but he has scary power. Fury made the blueprint on how to beat him. Only problem is not every HW has Fury skills. Wilder can still beat alot of HW not named Fury. Thats how crazy his power is. The only thing is, how will he react to that lost? Time will tell
