Now that Wilder is no longer a threat to his 50-0 he decides to show him some respect. Typical.

No, Floyd wasn't lying. But if I remember correctly, Wilder thought Floyd should have thrown his support behind him as the new star of boxing that would carry the torch for the sport now that Floyd was retired.

Tank Davis is the one that Floyd is financially invested in himself, so he wasn't going to get behind Wilder as the new star.

Wilder may appreciate Floyd finally showing public support, but he may see it as disingenuous and too little too late due to the circumstances.

i've been saying.. floyd only gives out compliments IF the other fighter is clearly way below him, or if the fighter just took his first L.

In the lead up to the Berto fight, Floyd said he thought Pacquiao would be the new #1, after he retires. He had no problem talking up Pacquiao, now that he had a win over him.

For years, Floyd always supports Canelo. Before Canelo-GGG 1, he said he thought "Canelo knocks GGG out." In that particular case it was someone Floyd dominated against an undefeated knockout artist who some said would beat Floyd.

If Canelo wins a Cruiserweight title, Floyd will be ringside to say, "Canelo is an all time great, he's a tough competitor, but let's not forget, Floyd Mayweather is the only guy to beat Canelo."

Nothing wrong in giving support when you lose, you get support when you win from all quarters. It’s when you lose that people neglect you and Mayweather recognising this is actually a great thing.

Floyd didn't say nothing to Joshua after his loss. Or to Kovalev. Or to GGG. Or to Klitschko. Fraud supporting Fraud here, both frauds have the same father (Haymon). Both are from the same fraud family PBC.
