Wilder losing hurt. Spence DUI and crash hurt. Now lets look at the whole story.
Last year PBC did over $125 million on PPV boxing matches, was just part of a fight that set the live gate record for HWT title fights, got a new deal with Fox the previous year, they have a deal with SHO, has one of the biggest draws in the sport in Tank Davis, and one of their unknown SMW champs just had a fight that drew over 1.8 million TV viewers.
I don't think things are as bad as you make them out to be in this post.
The point was the guys who were supposed to replace him fell flat.
Who did/does PBC even have at 175? Marcus Browne? His chin would never let him in the top of that division. With the big 3 all vying for belts (Gvozdyk, Bivol & Beterbiev) American promoters either had to sign them (Top Rank) or just focus on other divisions

Gotta see how the domestic charge affects Gervonta.

Good point. In the #metoo era his DV charges will surely hurt him more than Floyd and the guys before him. Floyd generated so much revenue and was the best in the sport so they couldn't really get rid of him as hard as ESPN tried.
Tank is nowhere near that level and we are in completely different times.
Wisely PBC never made it about just 1 Fighter and 1 Face! They have focused on trying to build up MULTIPLE STARS so no despite Wilder losing it really doesn't do much to PBC Brand. People are still going to watch him without a belt as well as Andy Ruiz when he comes back. The Show goes on, if anything people might be more Curious for their Next Fights
The Comeback Stories are far more Entertaining and Marketable than some guys just fighting to Protect their 0
PBC fox is desperate to work with ESPN and top rank. it's their last chance to stay relevant.41 year old legendary pacquiao is their only cash cow and he is probably going to have 1,maybe 2 fights before finally retiring.
PBC fox has no choice but to join forces with espn. i liked the whole dynamic they had for the wilder fury fight. the commentary was good. production was all good.
dazn has trash production and even worse commentary.
DAZN needs to hire Roy or Lamps or something and get a more exciting play by play guy. I liked BK but he appears to have moved to Fox. Not even sure who the new dude with Sergio is.

The Show Must Go On!
Andy Ruiz is going to DAZN. There are too many good fights there for him there and he’d get a premium pay. That’s where most Mexicans are heading to fight.
