He may not have had a busted ear drum but he was definitely blasted in the ear or the cut wouldn't have existed and that same shot was AJ's demise against Ruiz in the first fight. Neither guy recovered from it. If some of the so called boxing fans would be a little more attentive instead of objective then we may actually get the fights we want more often. I picked Wilder to win I'm a fan of his but am I mad or bothered by Fury whipping him NO its boxing it has happened to most all of the greats. Matter of fact anybody that watched saw Lewis, Tyson, and Holyfield be presented an award all 3 ATG and all 3 HOF yet all 3 got whipped at some point in their careers. The true fans of any sport have their favorites but the true fans can also appreciate the sport in general enough to praise the winners and the losers

People put way too much store in undefeated records.
Time was people were su****ious of unbeaten fighters because a) they likely hadn't fought anyone decent and b) coming back from losses showed they made of the right stuff.

What broke wilder were the bodyshots. Jabs to the body

I don't know what everyone else was watching, but Deontay was a dead man walking after that. Once a fighter's legs are gone, they're a sitting duck.
