Whilst I wholeheatedly agree with the sentiment behind your post - everyone does come from somewhere else if you trace it back far enough, and besides we're all human in the end - and that Britain is indeed a bastard nation as evidenced by the English language, a cobbled together pidgin of various Romance, Germanic and Celtic tongues, the UK is actually unusual precisely in the fact that it hasn't been invaded or occupied for so long - close to a thousand years (in part probably precisely because it is an island nation). In many respects it's similar to Japan in that regard except it has a great deal more cultural and genetic diversity as a result of being the hub of a global military and commercial empire for a coupla centuries.

You're focusing on a very small section of human history. There has been a mixing of cultures for many centuries. Most European languages are technically an Indian dialect, coming from Indian Sanskrit - this is why they are referred to officially as "Indo-European languages". Likewise, many cultures and traditions are borrowed across regions. Iconic Brit tea-drinking is of Chinese and later Indian origin. The numerical symbols we use everyday 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 are Arabic numerals.

These things are integrated into our daily lives we don't stop to consider their origins and they are a testament to the multiculturalism that has existed for many centuries and will continue to go on until the planet's biosphere becomes unsustainable, theoretically in about 1.2 billion years, wiping out all human life.

all those languages germanic baltic latin....came from the same family indo european languages that formed the genetic and cultural identity of europe 5000 years ago ,more or less like china with their hundred of derivates of derivates of mandarin.

its a ridiculous comparison europe until 1960s have been the more culturally and genetically ****geneous s place on earth only comparable to east asia

                you dont know anything

indo european languages came from what is now ukraine and they name came simply because encompase those two regions.
indo europeans aka ARYANS are simply north eastern europeans that invaded india 3500 years ago.

Joshua is popular due to his humble nature...

I do agree with the OP regarding his statements on his Nigerian heritage etc.

He is happy to benefit from the UK financially, but his heart is in Nigeria, not unusual in the cosmopolitan, multi cultural mixing pot of UK socio-demographics. At least Joshua appreciates the fact that his success is largely due to the UK and that the UK has in no way held him black for being black etc. I respect him for that.

I know. What does that have to do with anything? Go back far enough and we all have common origins.

everything europeans are members of the same big family more or less chinese and their different regions have been historically even if they have fought millenia between thenselfs.

so comparing past intra european wars with the recent "invaders"like other anon call them its absolutely ridiculous
