    Wilder Overachieved As A Boxer.

Started late at the age of 20, made the Olympic team, medaled at the Olympics, became a heavyweight champ, and made enough money to provide for his grandchildren. How many fighters that learned boxing as an adult have accomplished anywhere close to this at Heavyweight or any other division?

He was completely an over achiever as a boxer. A no talent bum that had an entire nation scared to death.

Definitely an overachiever. In the mode of Ricky Hatton and A. Joshua.

Nah more is expected of Joshua and he has done more than Wilder has in a faster amount of time.

Why do you guys act like his careers over? He’s taken very little punishment so far in his career and is still young for a heavyweight.

Plenty of fighters have been protected(All prospects are protected especially when they don't have a deep amateur background like Wilder and Saul Alvarez), plenty of failed football players have attempted boxing. How many of them do you know that made an Olympic team and medaled at the Olympics against guys that have been boxing since childhood. You may not like him but put things in perspective.

Yup, I agree. For someone who has no boxing ability, he’s done very well.

He sure did and props to him for it, I was thinking....how long could this go on for him having little to no boxing acumen and just a big right hand before something like this happened?
