In the first round, Wilder landed a trademark right hand with precision as Fury was backing away. I thought, if he is on target, this will be a shorter fight.
But then, Fury nailed Wilder with that jab hard and flush. Then in round two it kept happening, the stiff jab landing easily and not avoided or blocked. At that moment I knew, and Fury knew for sure, how the fight would likely go. That left jab rang Wilder's bell over and over, and then everything else followed... the busted ear drum screwing up the balance, speed, and coordination, the awkward falls hurting the leg, etc. The jab won the fight.
I would really enjoy a rematch. If Deontay had a plan for that left jab of Fury's the fight may have been much different.
The fight lived up to the hype.
