I liken this to something Andre Ward kept referring to in the Kovalev rematch. That Kovalev may have won, it's ok to think you've won, but own the deficiencies in your performance bruh, be realistic with yourself. I kept telling Wilder fans this after and since the fight, bunch of stubborn ******s
Wilder was the same x2 and the difference is Kovalev actually had a legit case, but the point stands. He just kept making excuses, deluding himself regards to the first fight. I wont quote the hundred excuses, but he actually didnt accept that he did NOT knock Fury out, he didnt accept reality. His team convinced him that was the best Fury, so they didnt really help.
Fury on the other hand, felt he won but accepted he could do better, accepted the negatives in his performance and came back better. I'm not sure what sort of psychological effect this will have on Wilder, but again he started making some excuses immediately post fight, not a good sign. I hope he comes back but he needs to be real with himself
