NO! Ref stay the F#CK out of the way, instead I would prefer if Refs allowed them to FIGHT OUT instead of saving them from some Classic Dirty Boxing Roberto Duran Style

Instead of crying and complaining I want fighters to take things into their own hands and FIGHT on the inside, you clinch then the opponents of that "Clincher" needs to make them pay to the body punish him on the inside, rough them up, let a few punches go low, throw him down on the Canvas let him spend energy getting up

Refs never use to save fighters, fighters would have to fight out...

Now Refs jumping too quick now like in the Amateurs not letting guys work on the inside. I think fights are BETTER when Refs force guys to fight out giving them no Breaks in the Action because of some Tie Ups

Now when he Holds and won't let go after the Ref Says Break and they literally Bear Hug a guy until the Ref Comes over and Break...that should be warned and eventually deducted for sure. However if a fighter tie up then release and tuck your arms and work on the inside, that I don't have a problem with

Look at that picture and ask yourself how Manny managed to get both of his hands below Floyd’s armpits.

There’s no way Mayweather could force Pac to put both hands extended straight out and clamp down his arms. Unless he hypnotized him or something.

And ask this: how, if your opponent has both arms extended under your arms, you are supposed to avoid a clinch? Do you have to throw your hands up above your head and give him free shots to the body?

              🤣🤣

I remember at one point in that fight Floyd held Pac's head down then he let him go and instantly tried to sucker punch him. Floyd did get warned but there sure was a lot of other holding moments in Floyd in his attempt to stall the high pace action Pac gives.

Holding has become a strategy for some fighters because the rule is rarely enforced. That means a fighter who uses holding as a tactic has an advantage over a fighter who never holds.
Boxing should enforce the rule or drop it, leaving it open to whatever the ref feels like doing that night hurts the sport.

And fights would be much more interesting.

Personally, I think this is a big reason we hardly ever see inside fighting anymore. Whenever the guy gets close and closes the gap, the opponent ties him up and the ref separates them. All that work wasted. Naturally the aggressor gets tired and frustrated and this gives the boxer the edge.
