Putting aside the fact this guy has a loss against TF, who has he beaten, really?
Ortiz' best win might be Travis Kauffman, and Ortiz is Wilder's best win, and even then Wilder got out of jail twice.
I'd say after Ortiz Wilder's best efforts are probably
Breazeale
Washington
Stiverne
Molina
Now pause, think a moment...
Are these legends of the sport worthy of giving the amount of credit to this Alabama hype job? Yes or no?
Fury has Wlad at least. But seriously, Dubois is a better HW, right now, than Wilder, who hasn't beaten a single fighter of note. I'd love to see him fight Whyte. why hasn't that happened? Because his handlers have done an excellent job of selling this great American hope while knowing he is not very good.Comment

That's the point mate, he is nowhere near the best HW.
Joshua is the best, then it's hard to say if Fury is second because his sole win is against Wlad, after that it is mediocrity.
Whyte has a better resume than both Fury and Wilder.
Parker, Povetkin, Ruiz are more tested and proven.
dubois and Ajagba are better technically and you wouldn't be too sure of Wilder beating them or some other prospects.
Wilder has been sold to the public, but it doesn't take much detective work to see it's literally a hype job. WBC in on it too.Comment

Joshua ballgaggers have life tough right now. They know deep down Joshua doesn't have the speed to beat Fury nor the chin to last vs Wilder.Comment

Everyone that wilder beat is better than Wilder. And they show it by usually winning on the score cards until wilder connects.
The only people that seem to dissect wilders skills and performances tend to be our U.K brethren. The U.S KNOWS wilder isnt good, his views and popularity reflect that.
I'm not sure if some guys just NOW started watching boxing and think they see something the rest of the world doesnt.
Wilder is ALL power, confidence and killer instinct.
Btw. AJ is NOT the best in the world. Lmao. The Best dont get KOed by Ruiz caliber guys.
In the rematch AJ could only use his height and reach advantages to win. The best beat guys like Ruiz ANY way they want. They you with people like that
But you saying Ruiz is more tested just shows you are a novice. Losing to parker cant be your second best notch on your resume. SmhLast edited by Lopez_Boxing; 02-22-2020, 09:33 AM.Comment

They all show they don't watch boxing. They think AJ is great, Ruiz is good and spend their time studying wilder to give the most basic OBVIOUS break downs of wilders style that the rest of the world knew 10 years ago They are behind in the times my friendComment

AJ’s best win is a life and death fight with a Fury leftover, never forget that.
Fury and Wilder would never lose to Ruiz, not even if they fought 100 times.
AJ’s resume can be criticised if you look at facts and not names. Povetkin looked like garbage since his return from a drugs ban and was nearly 40. Parker had never looked impressive really has he? He won a vacant title and made some easy defences.
How can you say Parker and Ruiz were proven? they had fought nobody that good except each other in a close fight. Both had looked fairly average in all their other fights.
Anyway i like AJ and he’s beaten some decent fighters, but the truth is you can criticise anyones resume and pick it apart if you really want to.
Out of Fury, Wilder and AJ. Only one has fought and beaten what was the clear consensus number 1 in the division and that was Fury.
I’ll take quality over quantity any day. Anyone can add a quantity of decent names if you pick the right fights and the right time. It’s a different thing altogether to go and beat the real no.1 like Fury did v Wlad.Comment

He has had some first round KOs that were very impressive to me. The Molina fight was one of his worst fights and he should have KOed a mediocre guy like that much quicker and easier. He did defend his title against unworthy challengers many times and knocked them all out of course. Recently he has stepped the quality of his opponents by fighting Ortiz twice and now Fury twice so better late than never. I am rooting for him to beat Fury and I think he is through fighting weaker challengers and will fight guys in the top 5 from now on. If he gets past Fury I think he can beat AJ if that fight is made. I don't know whose fault it is that Wilder and AJ can't fight each other but it would be great if they could settle things in the ring if Wilder beats Fury. Unless tonight's fight is a close fight I don't like a third fight when the winner should fight AJ so boxing has only one heavyweight champion.Comment
