Comments Thread For: Arum: Davison Doesn't Have Knowledge To Be Fury's Chief Second In Fight Like This

LAS VEGAS Bob Arum grew fond of Ben Davison during the time Arum got to know him last year as Tyson Fury's trainer. The 88-year-old promoter is still certain that Fury made the right decision by hiring Javan Steward to replace Davison as his head trainer. Fury executed the switch slightly more than two months ago, just in time to start training camp for his high-stakes, heavyweight championship rematch with Deontay Wilder on Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

I agree with Roach. There were a few moments in that 1st fight where Fury could have been much more aggressive. When I watched the fight again last week, Fury threw a couple of power shots that had Wilder retreating backwards.

Jacob is the best addition to the team, Andy is a stabalizing bright boxing guy, not sure about hill, no hands on big time experience either , Adonis not on this magnitude and hill as I'm aware has not solely run a world class by himself as the top man before , manny ran the camps with bashir as camp coordinator to keep things in line so it's a gamble . But champions take chances and if it works for fury then he deserves it , I expect them both to weigh in heavier than the last fight ..

Tyson’s dad and older brother aren’t fans of his former head coach either. Neither was happy about Tyson’s weight for the first fight.

Well it seemed to me Davison won a fight of this magnitude already. What he means to say is Davison isn't influential enough with the judges..
