Comments Thread For: Fury: I Must Get A Knockout; Don't Want Another Controversial Decision

No one that watched their first fight needs to be convinced Deontay Wilder could knock out Tyson Fury in their rematch. Boxing's most punishing puncher floored Fury twice when they met in December 2018. His vicious right-left combination early in the 12th round left Fury flat on his back, seemingly incapable of continuing.

I’ve been going to these websites with each big fight the past few years rather than shelling out the PPV money. Just place your zip code into the 1st website to see if it’s in a theater near you. I only paid $24 bucks yesterday.

I wish they would do that in the Uk for the big fights

Trouble is you would have a theatre full off pizz tanks off their tree on beak . Would be carnage for the fights on 4-5 in the morning

Maybe I'm just as crazy as Fury but this rematch is giving me Ward vs. Kovalev 2 vibes. I remember Ward saying he was gonna go for the K.O. & we all thought he was crazy & then the fight came, & Kov was gassed, hurt, mentally defeated & then stopped. (Save me the "it was a low blow" crap, writing was on the wall as the rounds went on) He bullied the bully.

I think Furys plan is to outbox Wilder, lean on him with all that weight, tie him up wrestle him frustrate the hell out him & tire him out. & to put a extra little mustard on his shots when he has opportunities to land.

When Wilder gets backed up or put out of position he always shells up in a high guard & let's his opponent get off a few shots until he can collect himself and reset. In the 1st fight, Fury was doing a good job splitting the guard and landing a hook or 2 whenever Deontay did that. & I think that's where the extra power from Fury will come in handy.

If you go back and watch the 12th, after Fury cleared his cobwebs he lands a hook perfect flush on the chin hook & Wilder is hurt & immediately holds. It's hard to tell if wasthe result of a good shot from Fury or if it was magnified by the fact that Deontay was completely exhausted & punched out. Either way I think that's where they wanna get Wilder in the fight but much sooner.

Fury's big and strong but it's another question if he can throw with power consistently and land at this level.

I could see it and I think that could be a great plan but I'm wondering if it's smart to or if he's willing to do it with the way Wilder punches.

They couldn't even do it in a lot of states in the US if the fight was at 4 in the morning as many bars close at 2 and only select ones have 4 am licenses.

Some states are more strict than others but I don't know many that would have legal all night drinking in public.
