Wlad threw 545 punches against Bryant Jennings compared to only 231 in his next fight against Tyson Fury. That seems suspect until you consider that:

    1. Bryant Jennings was a smaller heavyweight

    2. Tyson Fury was taller and a lot more elusive while Jennings pressed the action

In addition to that, Wlad threw 256 punches in 11 rounds against Anthony Joshua (another tall heavyweight with way more power than Bryant Jennings)

I say all that to say that I think Wlad's lack of output had more to do with age and his opponents than him supposedly throwing the Fury fight.

I think Fury was simply a horrible style matchup for an aging champion, at the end of a 10-year run, where he was always the taller guy.

But I think he won the first 5.And that's what Floyd said too, easy.

Remember, Grabomir during the faceoff for the rematch said, "I chose to lose."

What else could that mean besides throwing the fight?

... my idea was that Wlad made $18 million and he would have made about the same in the Fury rematch... he was old, couldn't load anymore, but he could have made another shitload of money -- so he felt no kind of urgency in the first fight... to be more precise...

          • Fury was badly robbed against wilder. The thing is fury won story of fight, the kd come from nowhere.
But while fury was on his feet he was never in trouble, no chicken dance legs, he was never in trouble whilst on feet and in danger of being stopped. Never took a punch and reeling around ring like a drunk. The kd were all wilder had. And even though wilder had fury down early in 12th round, he couldn't finish fury off. That's indicative of how in control of fight Fury was.

Pick any fight in history where an opponent was losing every rounds but all they had was 2 knock downs would they get a draw?
Baldomir v floyd for instance. If baldomir kd Floyd down twice would it be a draw?
Wilder threw 100 punches more and only landed 15 less? So how superior was fury defense? How bad did Fury make wilder look offensively?

They were the only two rounds you could really argue Wilder hurt Fury, and the first knockdown was a flash knockdown. 2/12. Yea, Fury beat him easily.

Tyson Fury won the boxing match, Deontay Wilder won the fight.

That is why it was a draw etc
