Why were FLOYD and HAYMON so irresponsable in not SIGNING Devin Haney?

Interesting points. My guess is because Hearn and DAZN made a better offer with more money because they were at a point where they hadn't been able to sign a prominent African american fighter and wanted to try and attract subscribers from that group.Haney has an intelligent father behind him, he is well brought up by someone who is educated. You cannot manipulate someone who has a role model like that, he might look up to Mayweather the boxer and business man, but he looks up to his father the man. He doesn’t need a father figure in that sense. He trained mostly in the Mayweather gym by Mayweather snr, but he isn’t ****** enough not to see what’s out there.
Haney was already signed to a smaller promotion-I believe he and his dad ran Haney Promotions.Comment

Not sure what was offered to him, but the fact that he looked outside of Mayweather, when he would have just go straight with him or Haymon, when he was trained in the Mayweather circle, shows me that he has a better influence in his life. Not everything is about money or race. DAZN probably saw potential in my, so whether he was African-America or Latino wouldn’t have matter to them, what would have was his potential, and am glad they didn’t just sign any Latino boxer because of potential followings, instead of signing someone due to their skills, and the great thing about Haney is he would be a free agent sooner and by that time he would have ready for the big stage of his career, thus reaping the benefits of his free agent status, promoting his own fights with the help of his father.Interesting points.
