Let me tell you what I think/believe.

I believe that Arum should have paid a top fighter whatever he asked so that his guy could finally get credibility instead of copying Floyd trying to chase a McGregor fight.

But NSB will celebrate that, a so-called #1 P4P fighting a guy who is 0-1, while McGregor gets more than the 10 million they refused to pay one of Crawford's most dangerous tests.

Brook claims he’s asking for Crawford fight yet Crawford’s son, Horn, called him out but he was too scared to even make a response on the call.

Danny Garcia is a higher heralded fighter that has fought against top tier opposition.

Terence Crawford has not.

Most of the boxing community wants Crawford to be the guy he's being marketed to be. But we need proof of what's being claimed. We can only get that off of a TRUE test of his skill under fire. We have not seen that.

Instead, we saw him spark out a cripple, fake a hand injury and refuse to fight in the home country of another guy, low blow another guy and get dropped by another guy. None of these guys at the top level.

Which SHOULD make you skeptical he can beat any of the top tier.

The Top Tier at welterweight is Manny Pacquiao. Keef Thurman. Danny Garcia. Shawn Porter. Errol Spence. (technically) Floyd Mayweather.

We know Crawford's not getting Floyd. That's out.

We know Crawford doesn't want Porter. That's out.

Crawford wants Spence but Spence is a higher draw and is fresh off a bad crash. That's out.

That leaves Keef, Danny and Manny.

Manny is trying to get on DAZN. That's out.

Keef wants to rematch Manny or Porter. So that's out.

That leaves Danny. Who is BTW the #1 for Crawford's WBO.

Crawford for his last 3-4 fights has been or fought the #1 guy for WBO. Which means if we're consistent he should welcome a fight with Danny no matter how much Danny wants because Danny's the mando.

What’s clear is the 32-year-old Crawford needs the fight more than Spence does. Unfortunately, ‘Bud’ Crawford has drifted through 10 years as a professional and his biggest fight thus far was against Amir Khan.

What the conditions are to make the fight happen between the two is likely Spence getting the bigger purse split against Crawford. In the past, Spence has talked about wanting a 60-40 split. Top Rank likely wouldn’t agree to that, which could keep the fight from ever happening.

It’s easy for Crawford to complain about the fight with Spence not taking place, but it might come down to finances. If Top Rank insists on Crawford getting parity against Spence, then the match may never happen between them while their in their primes.

Haymon was cool with 60/40. Arum was not. Tyson Fury draws money and IS lineal champion NOW, so he deserves 50/50. Crawford hasn't done anything to earn that yet because he ducked Porter AND Danny.

So the fight doesn't get made. Because 60/40 is more than fair. Too much if you ask me - but I think Spence was trying to help a brotha out like Floyd helped Berto. That's the level equivalency I see here.
