If Hearn wanted Whyte to have a belt, he would have had one by now. It's just a monopoly of pawn shop titles. Whyte could have won 1 or 2 of those titles if Eddy wanted him to.

I just don’t think that the boxing public looks at whyte as elite level. Solid sure, but he’s struggled where others haven’t and looked unimpressive in stay busy fights. He is ok and sure he’s waited in line long enough i guess, but if he doesn’t get the fight I wouldn’t go berserk.
