Comments Thread For: Wilder: Once I Knock Fury Out, You Won't Hear Nothing About Lineal Champion

LAS VEGAS Deontay Wilder doesn't put much stock in Tyson Fury's lineal heavyweight championship claim. Wilder considers it a promotional ploy from a former champion who gave up his IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles without honoring the rematch clause in his contract to fight Wladimir Klitschko. England's Fury argues that he is boxing's true heavyweight champion because he defeated Klitschko by unanimous decision in November 2015 and still hasn't been beaten.

Watch Wilder start calling himself the lineal champ. Funny thing is Fury has used this lineal thing up like crazy other lineal champ never even mention it.

I'm getting the same feeling I had before the Fury-Klitschko fight. Fury was acting just as crazy and most people wrote him off. I say Fury wins by decisive UD or a surprising KO

Yes! Hope Wilder puts in in the bin. Only people who talk about it are Fury fans because he has no other belts. Wlad never talked about it - because he had a load of real belts to talk about.

I'm sure if Wilder did win it - Tyson Fury fans would find some reason for saying it was meaningless anyway.

Fury is always good on world level. No way this will be an easy night for Wilder.

If Wilder wins the brits will forget of that lineal champ stuff. They will make a case how he is not and then just say either it is up for grabs or AJ is the lineal champ because he has more titles which includes that IBO.

Anybody with that head movement, leg movement and counter punching ability is not easy for any fighter. You can't hit him clean, he will counter and slow you down because he will have you thinking.
