I would pick Canelo but I think BJS is a very strong opponent and I’m excited to watch this fight.

It’s close to finalized, not completely done yet.

How do you know he got an improved offer? Is there a story/link you can post verifying this?

The badlefthook article suggested whoever took the least amount would get the fight. Is it possible BJS didn't get more?

"We just negotiated better terms. Billy Joe is in the pole seat. We believe everyone is on the same side in terms of what fight needs to be made.

"It's highly likely that the fight will be made. There are still some issues to be ironed out. Both fighters want it, both camps want it, everyone seems to be on the same side, we just have to hit the right number. They gave an initial deadline but the negotiations are at a point where there is no point backing out now. We're nearly there.

A deal is nearly complete for Billy Joe Saunders to make a defense of his WBO super middleweight world title against Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. The fight would take place on May 2 in Las Vegas, as part of Cinco De Mayo weekend.

Better terms doesn't necessarily mean more money. I read on twitter he wanted a bigger guarantee, which also doesn't mean he'll make more.

It isn’t. That’s why everyone is reporting they’ve been negotiating.

If the terms were the same, there wouldn’t be a negotiation.

If the fight doesn't happen and the B-side turns down more than double his highest payday it's a duck IMO. If they can negotiate more good for them.
So you’re saying that when Anthony Joshua turned down 50 million (more than twice as much as his career high, also the amount he said he’d make the fight for) it was a duck? Okay........,
