Fury and Wilder have to be the consensus 1 and 2 right now. Joshua looked great winning his belts back but that doesn't entirely erase the embarrassment of what happened in NY when he lost them. As such, Fury v Wilder is a bigger fight, it was a great fight the first time and the winner has the most valid claim to being number 1.

Resetting the "time since Fitzsimmons posted a trash article on boxingscene" clock back to zero

The author is right. He is correct Wilder Joshua still is the defining fight and its because we the fans have deemed it so.

Currently there's no blood badder than that between Wilder and Joshua fans

The two sides absolutely despise one another. On par with Floyd Pac.

Total facts that is. Well said.

Due to Eddie Hearn’s rich kid sense of entitlement to control wilder and demand he signs with dazn as well as Joshua’s “situational nationalism” (the fight must be in England for the fans but two fights in a row I fought outside of the uk) it may never happen

I tend to agree. Doesn't make Wilder Fury II any less of a big fight or the biggest HW fight in this current era. The result of that fight, regardless of title status of either fighter, would determine which side of the pond would have to STFU for eternity.

I agree with this writer as long as both Wilder and AJ keep winning before fighting each other.

If Wilder loses to Fury it doesn't mean his boxing career is over. Styles make fights and Joshua/Wilder would still be an exciting and money making fight. No matter how good Fury is the truth is he is not exciting to watch. Joshua lost to Ruiz but Joshua is still a world class fighter. One or more losses means little.

The same Usyk that looked pedestrian against the corpse of Witherspoon?! Only chance Usyk has to beat AJ a if he make Joshua drain to the cruiserweight limit. And wilder chins Usyk in both divisions.

Mr. Fitzsimmons, what do you gain from writing this? It’s literally fight week, and your salivating about a fight that’s not even close to being made. Enjoy what’s in front of you while it’s here. How do you grade the potential matchup as a 51/49 odds fight, but then call Fury an “obstacle in the way?” This is a excellent fight, that is actually made and less than a week away. You should have kept this article in the cloud.
