You're only worth what someone pays you. Since Canelo caved in to Kovalev's demands, BJS and Smith are betting he'll cave once again.

Bad business signing with them Canelo.
This entire post makes no sense.

You imply DAZN is running out of money and that could somehow effect Canelo.

Canelos money is GUARANTEED and hes got 2-3 years w/ DAZN left.

Why would Canelo care if he can get opponent A or B? His contract is GUARANTEED. And no fighter had a better 2019 than Canelo - who clearly beat the best available MW and the most prestigious LHW at LHW.

If people price themselves out - like Charlo, BJS, Smith, Murata, etc. That is also know as DUCKING.

Canelo continues to fight the best available IF they want to fight him

awww. You still mad cause people question anything about GGG after he tagged up by Canelo? Say, how much did Canelo offer Devry and how much did Devry take with GGG? Remember when GGG got stripped because he didn’t fight Devry on a mando. Geeez, “mandos!” So GGG cheerleaders excuse purse bid avoidance for the Kazakh but when Canelo does it its ducking.

And How many more years you will write on NSB that Ward avoided GGG? Lol clowns

... beyond any kind of money and shit... the "dead man walking" actually somehow fought Derevyanchenko, while canelo didn't -- period... canelo chose to fight a drunk dead man walking, instead ...

The sport is weighted in favour of some guys, man, that's just the way it is. That's not to take anything away from Canelo - he did what he needed to to take advantage of the opportunities that were laid out before him and proved that he's an elite fighter but let's not pretend that earning power or opprtunities in boxing are in any way 'fair'... everyone is just grabbing what they can using whatever leverage they can and if that means holding out knowing that the Cash Cow gotta fight someone then so be it.

These dudes didn't make up the rules, man, and at the end of the day their market value is precisely as much as they can get... ain't got nothing to do with what they proved or who they fought but on how much Canelo or GBP thinks they need 'em.
Canelo was built up into a star, but despite that process he only got a $5 million guarantee to fight Floyd Mayweather.

Callum Smith and BJS are nobodies in America yet they want more than that.

                  It's ridiculous.

It's actually a perfect comparison in the context of NSB.

You see, on NSB, Crawford is #1 P4P, not Carnelo.

So, NSB can't understand why this bum named Canelo Alvarez who has a loss isn't taking less money to fight dangerous opponents ('eye tests') for his legacy when the #1 P4P is undefeated and deserves more money.

                    Get it now?

This is DAZN's fault. Once they started overpaying fighters, they would have to continue that. But this could have long/short term effects. Short term, the fighters maybe absolutely crazy for asking for money above their own market value. At the same time, who can blame them? Why not take advantage of DAZNs generosity? They have seen Jacobs, Steve Rolls, Fielding, Kovalev and others get paid and they want in. So the effects? Canelo can fight whomever and he will still get paid, but who will tune in if the opponent is not big enough that the people don't recognize?

Long term, Canelo and DAZN will have to fork over the cash or the run the risk of Canelo not having a worthy opponent thus DAZN will really start sinking further than they are now.
