Yep which is why Wilder can only get lucky 1 in 150 punches and land. He hasn't got the skill. I could hit the bullseye once in 150 shots, doesn't make me a good darts player.

But.....if you were 42-0-1 in dart matches, it certainly means that you are.

It takes skills and experience to be patience. Wilder is not some unskilled boxer like some are trying to make out, he has an advantage over almost all the current HW boxers out there, he has been brought along slowly and gently whilst he learn his trade and his own style, he should be beating everyone at HW easily with the way they have brought him along. He isn’t war torn neither because he has followed the least path of resistance until the last few fights on his.

So nothing he does now shows me he is doing something he shouldn’t be doing, like Fury for example, Tyson has been a fighter all his life, he has been schooled in that art. He travels and fight outside of his comfort zone, something that he was born into. So nothing he does would surprise me too.

People need to start giving credit to Wilder in the way he executes his game, the fact that we all know his game plan beforehand and he is still able to execute it shows intelligent he is inside the ring (Complete dumbo outside of it doe).

He's set a new precident for power bailing a fighter out, fight in, fight out. And really he makes a mockery of "skill"

But I'm starting to believe that he will keep doing this and retire unbeaten. Proving that power is the ultimate skill in boxing

Of course he can but not just because of his power...but because he has avoided the best heavyweights of his generations/era/reign whatever terminology you would like to use.

Let us look at the best heavyweights (Defined as guys ranked highly by most observers and/or belt holders during Wilder's time) during his time as top contender and champion and I will highlight how many of these he has faced (in black), I will then highlight how many of these have been faced by Joshua (in red):

This list is actually unfair to Joshua because he wasnt even a top fighter when Haye was still a top active heavy or when Jennings was still fighting.

What happened when Wilder did fight his best opponent? He was soundly outboxed for 10 rounds.

Fury is number one, and yes 💯 Wilder stops Joshua. Just like I have predicted for 3 years now. Some of you guys don’t have a boxing brain. You obviously have zero clue about boxing, if you do you would know I have always picked Wilder against AJ any day any time. Fact is Wilder resume is nothing to write home about and the 42/0 that you are quoting is nothing to be hyped about, the sooner you know and accept that not all of us are fangirls like you the better for you.

No. Fury has the best defensive game in the heavyweight division by far. And especially when he's up for it. It takes more than blind luck and just power to land the perfect punch. Which Wilder does with regularity. Nevermind the Fury fight, 41 fights attest to this

He has the basic skills for sure but not at the level of Holmes, Ali or even "pre-Don King" Mike Tyson.

I agree, I don't think anyone is saying he is, seems like this same thread is constantly made to remind us of what we already know, he relies on his KO power. If you watch the first 4 rounds vs fury he was actually doing pretty good then got sloppy trying to land the right

If he did it with regularity he'd end ever fight in round one. He throws hundreds of punches and lucks out with one. He's fast and punches hard, he's not skilled.
