Yes sure this is their plan......
Fury did exactly that I believed him but I honestly didn't think he had the power to do it, but he proved us all wrong.

Credit to him, he did it. He did look like he lacked power though. Most of the damage was done because he caught Wilder on back of the head. Wilder was gone from the 3rd round and Fury couldn't put him away.

Even as a fan of Wilder I cannot use the back of the head thing as an excuse. He hit Fury in almost the exact same spot for the first knockdown in the first fight, and it was Fury's fault for leaning over like he did, and Wilder's fault for doing the same this time. Wilder needs to work on slipping punches instead of just throwing out check left hooks/jabs out of instinct and leaving himself even more open...or learn how to hold which Fury surely would've done.

Wilder should fight Ruiz to get his confidence back, and Ruiz deserves to be knocked out in devastating fashion for being a fraud who stole people's money without training.

It's not an excuse but he still got caught there. He was gone after that. It's unlikely Fury will catch him there next fight....

It's hard to assess Wilder in this fight for me because he didn't really do anything apart from those early right hands that didn't full connect. He looked sluggish from the start. At least in the first fight he tried.

oh yeah - I don't see at as an excuse. More of a fact, It was a legit punch because Wilder turned back of his head towards him.

But that fact is - the fight was over as a competition after that. Wilder won't get hit on the back of the head next fight...
