Comments Thread For: Plant: We're Gonna Get To Canelo, He's Got Fights Left On His Contract

NASHVILLE-Caleb Plant knew the decision he was prepared to make would be met with considerable backlash. He also knows why he's prepared to travel a path foreign to the average observer. The unbeaten super middleweight titlist was barely minutes removed from a 10th round stoppage of mandatory challenger Vincent Feigenbutz (31-3, 28KOs) when approached with the possibility of next facing Saul Canelo' Alvarez. It slightly overshadowed an otherwise festive homecoming, with Ashland City's Plant enjoying a Fox-televised headliner live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Why should Plant take the fight on short notice?
It's another tactic to give Canelo an advantage.
Alvarez is rested and healed up from his last fight.
I don't understand why boxing fans defend him having every advantage. He is a good fighter, but no reason to manipulate every single fight. Man up and give your opponent a level playing field.

So Caleb Plant isn't ready to fight after the sparring session he just had, cause it sure wasn't a fight. The truth is that all these fighters talk a big game but when it comes down to the showdown they won't be there. You should like a jackass.

Mexican American nationalism for the pale face red head....don’t ever expect a level headed mature conversation with boys who rant and rave like emotional split tails...

Whatever dude. He did take a few lumps. What he says makes sense about unifying. But Alvarez could care less about being undisputed in any weight class.

Smith and Saunders are rested and ready. Make either a fair offer and they will be there.

There you go again with your low key shots at Mexican boxing fans / boxers.
                    You reek of insecurity.
