So again, boxing is more dangerous, but not as grueling. You're conflating 2 different things. Boxers could definitely afford to fight more often, but the nature of the business means that marquee stars only have to come out 1-2 times a year. These guys aren't fighting 4 times a month to feed their families anymore. As basketball players playing a lot of games "because they can" you should take a look at stars taking the whole season off due to injury. Being that fast and that strong takes a toll on the human body, and you rarely find guys who can play at the elite level as long as Mayweather has been a fighter.
I'm sure 36 hard fought boxing minutes equates to way more than 48 hard played basketball minutes, but they do it 82 times a year plus playoff games. When we're talking the nature of athleticism, staying power, and being dominant, it's hard to argue against a guy that you saw on TV being dominant nearly every night of a near 20 year career. As much as I respect Mayweather, his schedule through the 2010 decade was sparse, and overpaid (and good for him). He beat every guy worth beating that was near him, but it amounted to him not fighting very much because of his selling power. From a boxing standpoint, Mayweather was my hands down FOTD despite Alvarez being much more active than him and him not having a real fight after 2015. However, when comparing different sports, we're talking about guys who enjoyed the same dominance, but did it a lot more often.Comment

On the contrary re tard. I believe Floyd did deserve fighter of the decade. But he is not athlete of the decade and the people have spoken and voted LeBron who I also agree with for athlete of the decade. Mayweather was the best of his era. He is not best of all time. The greatest fighter to ever to step foot in a boxing ring is Sugar Ray Robinson. Now go somewhere and shove that razor up your ass you numbskull dumb ass.Comment

I made the thread first. Stepping on my toes BPP.Five division world champion Floyd Mayweather disagrees with the decision by the Associated Press to name NBA superstar LeBron James as the Male Athlete of the Decade. During an interview with Drink Champs, the 42-year-old Mayweather disagreed with the viewpoint that James was the better athlete of the recent decade.

You didn't prove anyone wrong you weirdo. Did the Japanese shell out millions for Floyd to come over because he isn't popular? And I have no interest in "imagining" what would "probably" happen with your boyfriend Lebron... You sound like some twink groupie, my son.Comment

He is his own man but if nike offers a billion dollar contract like they did with lebron he’d be rushing to sign it. But nike will never do that for their image. Or most brands for that matter.
He was quick to do it for hublot too
That’s just the reality that he didn’t get em offers that’s why he didn’t get them... not because he turned them down or was running away from it lol — which he won’t
Real talk and you mad for it.

Yep, does everything he can to stay relevant so he can keep getting paid $10,000 to do a club appearance, even if that means dissing and putting down his own black people, and trying to latch his name to current stars such as Lebron, Pacquiao, Mcgregor, etc.
He’s something like a Perez Hilton or media whore of such.
Not only that but he boxes like a b!@tch and that’s why he never gets full respect from everybody.Comment
