Bridgestone Arena in Nashville - Abel Ramos scored a stunning last second TKO victory over Bryant Perrella in a scheduled 10-round welterweight match. Heading into the 10th and final round Ramos was told by his cornermen that he needed a knockout to win. Ramos (26-3-2, 20 KOs) delivered, badly hurting and dropping Perrella twice in the waning seconds of the frame, prompting referee Jack Reiss to wave the welterweight co-main event off with just one second remaining.

Perrella ain't no Taylor and Ramos ain't no Chavez. And Taylor did not win every round, just how Perrella did not win every round. Lousy comparison.

reiss screwed perella over. he would have lasted 3 more seconds. yes, he would have! and he would have been willing to risk those 3 seconds too! piss me off. i had him winning 8 rounds. how come reiss gave fury a long count? according to "reiss" philosophy he should have been OUT seconds before he got up.BS. perella is quite the gentleman about it even though he knows he got SCREWED

Like I said yesterday, one of Reiss' worst moves ever as ref. And as we see here, Ramos wants no part of a rematch. He knows he was losing badly and just got lucky. Shame too, as a RM would be an excellent fight for the fans.

Reiss should have stopped it without all the drama. If he has to do a field sobriety test in order to make the call, he's unqualified. Since when do you send a guy on a stroll? Make him walk a straight line? Perrella had a damn good reason to stumble and like I said, if his eyes looked bad, or anything else was wrong, Reiss should have stopped it sooner, without the perp walk.

Reiss should've stopped it after the first knockdown when he wobbled during the count. It didn't take a 2nd knockdown to notice he couldn't make the count.

This silly kid controlled most of the fight and had the nerve to fight so recklessly in the final round...what was his corner thinking? Better luck next time, Perrella.
