UFC fighters only make 16% of the revenue this is every unfair to the fighters but this is keeping the fights active fighting the best (fighting each other)..

Boxing problem is sanctioning bodies not forcing the fights , and promoters overpaying for mismatches

The prospect guy is a thankless job. I do mean job in every sense of the word as you have to sift through an endless stream of b.s. to find the diamonds. It’s all to point out some kid that is around the corner who you won’t be able to put money on any time soon anyway. Not to mention it makes you lose touch with what is happening in the big leagues. I’m right where I want to be as a fan in regards to how my attention is spread.
That's fair enough, man, it's the kinda thing you're only gonna do if you really wanna anyway. That said Ima give it a shot myself, for my own pleasure and learning... see whether I can't get something going.

        Noice.

I’ll contribute when I can and I will. Anything to make this place a little more formidable.

It’s because amateur football and basketball is on television and covered by media outlets.

If someone is a great amateur football or basketball player, they’re followed by the fanbases of over 100 college teams while they’re playing in high school. Their high school games are televised and reported on, they play in all-star games that are televised and reported on and their college choice is televised and reported on.

Then they play for a college which has a following which rivals a pro team. Every game they play is televised and reported on and they’re basically a professional at this point.

Then they get drafted, which is televised and reported on and start playing professionally, which is televised and reported on.

Boxing prospects fight in amateur competitions that get no attention, unless it’s the olympics, and then get stuck on undercards until their promoter seems them ready to headline something.

So it’s not really the fans, it’s the fact that football and basketball get so much more attention.

A big high school football game is usually more publicized than a boxing match unless it’s a PPV fight.
