I have been leaning towards Wilder in the rematch...but now I think I'm actually leaning Fury...he should benefit from the 12 rounds they fought more than Wilder I think...and should be in better shape for this one...but maybe not as motivated too? Hard to call it really.

I felt the first fight was close as Wilder kept himself in it with those 2 KDs...but as you said, hopefully we get a clear winner Saturday night with little controversy.

I was just talking to my brother how controversy does help drive this sport in a lot of ways though. But we saw how two controversial fights in a row with GGG and Nelo really set things back. Regardless of the outcome tonight a third fight is always possible. But yeah let’s get a definitive result 2mo and see if an AJ fight can be made.
There’s a good short video with the ref of the first fight talking about it. Said he thought Wilder was being the effective aggressor actually. Shows nobody can agree. Was a firefighter paramedic for years. Saw when Fury went down leg and knee stayed up, so he knew he wasent out cold and that’s why he gave a count.

Yeah I think the first 6 rounds in fight 1 were pretty tight...but then I felt Fury put on a bit of a clinic...I didn't see a ton of effective aggression from Deontay...but he doesn't really need to do a ton in there does he.

Great point about the KD! Someone was comparing that KD to the Jacobs-Pirog one and I was trying to explain to him how different they were...when are you out cold, your body kind of shows that, as Danny's did...and Fury's as you said, looked normal...great point there.

Did u watch the fight last week where the guy went down twice in the 12th and the ref stopped it with 1 second left? I was perfectly fine with that, just like the Chavez v Taylor fight. I think it’s the refs job to decide if u are capable of continuing regardless of the time left on the clock. I assume a ref doesn’t know exactly how much time is left, especially when he’s focused on a downed fighter. If a ref lets a badly damaged fighter continue just because he thinks there’s only one second left and he won’t get hit, he could just as easily make a mistake and say three or four seconds could be left. That’s enough time for the guy to get drilled in the head bad, we’ve seen it all plenty. The ref didn’t think he could continue and that’s the point. If his eyeball was hanging out u couldn’t let him out just because there’s one second. They got stopped within the time limit under the definitions of the rules. I was really disappointed in the commentators that said the fact that only one second is left should be considered by the ref. Every round has a final second.
