The whole “slave” analogy is a cowardly racist dog whistle made out of frustration that black men in boxing are working with black men to empower black men. It’s that simple. Nobody here really gives a rat’s a$$ about the integrity of the sport.
Dude STFU with your race cards. How much did Austin Trout do in helping rising stars for PBC branding? All Trout asked for was more stay busy fights on big cards. Trout said he and Haymon had differences in the end. We know this because Trout was so desperate he’s now campaigning at 147 because Haymon blocked 154 for him when Trout HELPED the division?

Trout decided to go separate ways. Poor dude had to be promoted by Tapia on some Christian network just to stay busy. Guess like Lara are just *****es to say anything. Haymon too exploits the Cuban minds. He just uses Cubans to build the American stars. We all know how many Cubans are in boxing, and very few are on PBC compared to the American ratio. Why? Cause the Cuban style tends to be boring and only focuses on amateur scoring techniques. Ortiz and DOrticos are like the most appealing to watch because they are big..

In other words, Haymon is a puto because his fans (Haymonites) excuse fillerism.

The thing is, these people posting here don’t care either. Boxing has always put politics above competition and had shady-corrupt business dealings behind the scenes controlling what fights you see and don’t see. There’s even been plenty of fights thrown in the ring. Shady questionable decisions made by judges are so normalized that it’s considered part of the sport. I could go on and on and on about how corrupt boxing has always been.

What’s the charge against haymon here? That he puts business politics over competition? All the corruption in boxing that non black men have been responsible for over the years up until this very day and I’m supposed to give credence to a bunch of cowardly racists trying to vilify a black power player because of how he advises his fighters? Yea right lol. How many black fighters over the years do you think have been used up and thrown away by white promoters? Countless.

Boxing is corrupt and the sport is supported by cowardly racist fans who don’t really care because it’s mostly about race and nationalism. Those things have always been true. Let’s keep it real buddy. Haymon is an advisor meaning he technically works for the fighters not the other way around. None of these fighters are obligated to haymon so this “slave” reference is ridiculously transparent.
That's the difference between me and you. I actually do care about the integrity of the sport and want to use whatever small voice I have to try to make things better.

You see scum and pimps enriching themselves from boxing behind the scenes...and instead of speaking out against them you're just happy that finally a black man got to be one of the shot callers among the scum and pimps.

This could be a great sport with the best fighting the best consistently. That's what we as fans should fight for above all else.

Blue - Impact Network. He has a three-fight deal with them. Trout is trying to get at Crawford, it seems.

When have these kind of politics not been part of boxing you silly little kid? You’re sitting up here whining about a game that’s been in place for over 100 years. If you were genuine then your beef would be with the game and not haymon/pbc.

Like you care about a Austin trout or any of these fighters. You just don’t like haymon because he’s a black man in a position of power. I don’t know who you think that you’re fooling or why you’re trying so hard. That’s just how much of a pussC you are. Let it continue to eat you up. You deserve it.

Uhhh Welcome to life in America. Do you not see who’s in the White House? What industry in America isn’t corrupt? The sport of boxing is just a microcosm. You’re not going to move me with that fake self righteous chest bumping you’re doing. I don’t buy or respect it. You sound like a boot lick to me. Trying to be fair with people who have shown you are are unwilling to be fair.

Honestly, the more and more I see/hear from so-called boxing “fans” the more I really don’t care about the politics behind the scenes. Fans ain’t s**t. A bunch of losers who don’t have genuine appreciation for the art of boxing or the fighters themselves. I say “get money, f**k fans”. I’m good taking it as it comes. I’ll judge the fights that get made and spend little to no time worrying about the politics. I’ll leave that for the self righteous folk with agendas.

I choose to stand up for righteousness. It is what it is.

Someone has to, everyone else is just throwing up their hands at corruption and seeing how they can get their own piece of the pie from it.

                It disgusts me.

Just because racism hurt people in the past the answer isn't to be equally as wrong now in trying to get payback.

There is right and wrong. You either fight for what's right or you just let the wrong side win by giving into it.

Well that's a lie, smith made more than the Canelo offer against Groves in the WBSS final. BJS also has made similar money. Not to mention that Smith is a unified and ring magazine champ at 68, hes got a lot to offer. $4 million is a low offer, Oscar is being a typical promoter. I dont think either guy expects the $10 mill that Kovalev or Jacob's got but they do expect more.

Any champiinship level British fighter brings a an inherent value to this type of event, UK rights fees are fairly substantial, especially on Sky plus the fans travel, not that Canelo has a problem selling but they certainly bring a value even to a US based fight. Canelo knows this, I'm sure they'll up the offer.

Eddie Hearn does not have the final say on these offers he is always pretty vocal about that, and he has a pretty transparent relationship with his fighters. He may give an opinion on it, but the final decision will be left with them and their management teams.

Haymon - is obviously bending the rules a bit as far as management/promoting and so is a different case imho

                      'Blocked' him?

Dude, Trout signed with Haymon in 2012. Since then, Haymon secured him the Cotto fight, the biggest win of his career. He then proceed to lose his title in his very next fight against Canelo (the biggest name on his resume).

Since then, Haymon has gotten Trout 4 additional world title shots, NONE of which he won (Lara, both Charlos, Hurd) plus a prospect/gatekeeper fight against Gausha.

What more is any manager supposed to do for that fighter at 154? How many other fighters with as little name recognition, drawing power, and/or non-fan friendly style can say their team put them in a position like that MULTIPLE times?

And that's not even including the PBC broadcasting/color commenting jobs he secured for Trout.
