Tank fought Fonseca at 130 and 3 years ago. Garcia fights 130 pounders at 135. Interested to see how he deals with someone with length like a haney
Tank just fought a dude who was in his prime when the Cosby show was the number 1 show on tv and he's trying to fight a guy who spent most career at 126 or below next.
It is very obvious that Garcia is absolutely the hardest punching 135 pound fighter in the world. He is going to rip some heads off along the way. With his height and reach and power, he would knock out Gervanta Davis and Teo Lopez. He is turning into a monster with that power. Star quality right there. Vicious puncher. His timing has improved and great how he watches old Sugar Ray Robinson videos....that's learning from a master.
... the light weight division is stacked right now...
... Ryan Garcia is just a kid who doesn't have to stay at 135 too much... if carefully promoted, he can easily progress at the top of 154 or even 160...
His best win was against a way over the hill JC Chavez, all the other good fighter he faced he lost to (including Pernell Whitaker who virtually everyone agreed should have got the win)
You gotta stop the de la Hoya hate. Say what you want about his character now but as a fighter, he was great. Chavez was only 33 years old when he fought de la Hoya smh.The reason he has losses is because he literally fought everyone at their best. He clearly beat Whitaker. Whitaker even knew he was losing and started fighting dirty because he was frustrated. Maybe rewatch the fight. He definitely beat Mosely in the second fight and definitely beat Trinidad and got screwed for whatever reason. You need to chill.
Don't get me wrong Garcia seems like a nice boy, it's just unrealistic to think that he can beat the top guys in his division, that's not hate it's truth.
He just fought last night bro. Can he at least lose to one of them first before you start saying who he can and can't beat? Speed kills and he would be a tough fight for anyone of those dudes to deny that is not wise.

Lmao chill out buddy was a good win for Ryan last night but not more impressive than what Lopez did to Commey an actual champion. Ryan has power but he still pulls back with his head straight up we need to see how well he can take a punch before saying he's going to knock out the other champions at 135.

Using your example - people said the same thing - to "chill out" about about Lopez one fight before he whacked Commey out in less than 6 minutes. Garcia has an energy and drive that few fighters have and a passion and willingness to learn. Dont be surprised if in a year from now he has collected a big name scalp and won a title along the way. FYI - I'm not going to chill out as long as Garcia keeps producing performances like he has lately. He is the goods, and not every fighter has to have a great chin or speed or power or height or Reach to have fans, in fact it is fighters that have a flaw that makes them more endearing to fans.
