Mayweather and it's not close. He's fought the most p4p top 10 fighters and most title holders in history.

Bh is the one considered to have taken risks so it's relative. Considering bh fought people in his 40s. Bh fought the tougher fights.
I mean he fought kovakev when he was nearly 50.

If you pick Mayweather then you have a habit of lying to yourself or you don’t know boxing. I’m quite serious about that.

Floyd never fought someone of Roy Jones caliber so the discussion shouldn't go no further than that

This thread is going to read a lot like that last Mayweather v BHop thread you made. Most objective fans recognize that both of these guys had amazing skills and craftiness (whomever they prefer), but most fans also recognize that BHop took on the tougher challenges given the fact that he often stepped into the ring with significant disadvantages over the last decade of his career. Both fought great fighters. On paper you might give the resume edge to Floyd (the names anyway), but, given his physical disadvantages, Bernard faced the tougher challenges.

I like both fighters but Hopkins went against tougher competition in my view all things considered.

I don't think he was greater than Mayweather but still Hopkins has had a very solid career than spanned a long time.

Hopkins fought tougher individual fights with top guys in their prime. But in between those fights, he fought a whole lot of major scrubs. Overall Mayweather probably has the more consistent resume.
