It's pretty simple for Canelo - the criteria is as follows:

1. World recognised fighter who is on the slide.
2. Holds any kind of belt.
3. Is desperate to give in to negotiations just to get the career-defining pay-day that comes with a Canelo fight.


Additionally, I think Canelo will either fight at 168, or a catchweight of 165 if it's an MW.

If God was real and rainbows and lollipops paved the streets, and Canelo was a true fighter rather than just a businessman now posing as a fighter, I'd have him fight GGG, then Charlo, Andrade, Plant, Benavidez.
But we all know that the streets aren't paved with handjobs.

Agree with you except for GGG. He needs to move on. We have seen that movie already and know what the outcome will be especially as he has declined and made $$ in both fights.

I honestly think bjs Will come in to the fight as the best version of himself, which can cause many problems to canelo. I like the fight a lot, I’d prefer the Benavidez fight for canelo but won’t be mad not one bit if bjs gets it... and I think he will. I honestly also would not mind at all if canelo never fights ggg again... could care less for that fight.

Yeah I agree about GGG. I still think he was hard done by in the first fight especially. To be honest, I wasn’t even that interested in the rematch the first time by the time it happened. Canelo’s failed test and it being a year between the fights took the shine off it.

Canelo v BJS is the fight I want because BJS will be at his best and on paper is all the things Canelo has struggled with in the past.

Eddie Hearn and Callum Smith are nuts if they turned down this fight. If Oscar is being truthful about the 3 or 4 times more than Smith has ever made, then Smith blew it. A win over Canelo and the rematch would be worth a fortune. A loss, so what. Losing to a future hall of famer has no shame. Bad move, if it's true!
