Comments Thread For: De La Hoya "Very Close To A Deal" For Canelo In Vegas This May

The next challenge in Canelo Alvarez's career could get some clarity very soon. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday that he's "very close to a deal" in finalizing an opponent for his four-division champion. The fight against the yet to be announced foe will take place May 2 in Las Vegas on Cinco De Mayo Weekend.

If it’s not JERMALL CHARLO or DEMETRIUS ANDRADE I absolutely don’t care.

I think they absolutely don't care how you feel. Canelo just fought at 175 very doubtful he'd go back to 160 for either of those guys who haven't even had a significant fight at 160. They too busy avoiding each other and avoiding Danny Jacobs.

Benavidez or Zurdo would be great. But i think itll be Saunders. Could be a wildcard like Pascal though.

He keeps moving up in weight. Try the winner of Fury vs Wilder next. It's about legacy now. See how ****** you sound with that last part. Yes you

How about a HW punching bag with a paper title like Charr or Whyte. They are all PED cheats

It won’t be Smith or Charlo. Maybe Saunders or Plant? Andrade?
