Whyte is not known outside of the UK because he only fights limited and faded fighters in the UK. Joshua beat an aging Klitschko, but is better known for his loss to Ruiz. And Ruiz only fought him (and agreed to the one-sided flat-fee rematch clause) because he needed the money. So for the $100 million rematch, Ruiz got $11 million and Joshua and Hearn split the rest. But even though he made more money than Ruiz, Joshua didn't really beat Ruiz in the rematch to convince people that he's the better fighter. He sort of avoided fighting him, wouldn't you say?
