Comments Thread For: Clarke Backs Joe Joyce To Take Down Daniel Dubois After Five

OLYMPIC Gold medal hope Frazer Clarke believes Joe Joyce will shock Daniel Dubois in their sensational heavyweight battle. Few boxer are more qualified than Clarke to give a verdict on the clash that has got the nation talking. Clarke sparred with both men during their days on the Team GB squad and says: "I see a Joe Joyce win after five rounds.

I'm surprised DDD is such a heavy favourite. I probably marginally have him as a favourite.

This is a real opponent for him.

Very interesting fight. I admit I've only seen Joyce about fight 3-4 fights and Dubois less than that. Dubois looked more explosive and athletic, Joyce was incredibly slow and stiff and without much defense.

Those optics alone probably explain why DDD is a favorite. Joyce does seem tough with a solid chin and bludgeons people with a heavy barrage of awkward punches deep into fights.

I favor DDD, I just think he catches Joe with one too many crisp shots to the jaw early on. Can't wait to see it though.

Everyone who has sparred with joe says great things about him and hes barely lost a round as a pro. I think he absolutely bullies dubois. Its funny how everyone says hes slow and has no skill but he won almost everything in the amateurs and was robbed of olympic gold. Is well known he had better of joshua in sparring and dropped him heavily

I'm favoring Dubois but it is a great matchup and a great fight for British boxing. Dubois just looks sharper to me and is getting better every fight. Whether that is enough to beat Joyce who has more experience and has fought better opposition as a pro is yet to be seen.
Supposedly Joyce dropped Joshua in sparring but he didn't confirm it.

****** from Clarke because Team GB was years ago. Dubois has clearly improved. Nathan Gorman beat Dubois in sparring. According to Gorman he won every round!

This is a close 60/40 fight in favor of Dubois for me. Joyce is tough and relentless but he is there to be hit and Dubois can hit. That's why I think Dubois will most likely win.

Not saying he is - but he is also talking about how he knocked Dubois around in sparring years ago. If he loses it will be complacency that does it
