Says the guy who chose to box rather than try to knock out Ruiz in the rematch.
With that being said, Wilder “arguably” fought to a draw in the 1st fight and a draw largely due to (2) knockdowns. If Fury stayed off the canvas in the 1st fight, he would have won by decision, no arguments or debates. Some people thought he won anyway with the knockdowns. But what if he doesn’t get knocked down in the rematch, can Wilder win by decision? I seriously doubt it.
Wilder can not win by decision without scoring a few knockdowns and possibly hurting Fury in some other rounds. That is where I agree with Joshua. If Fury has a good training camp and strategy to avoid the big power shots and stays off the canvas, I believe he wins easily by decision. And Fury does hit hard enough to get Wilders respect.Comment
