  • Comments Thread For: Arum Has 'No Problem Whatsoever' Making Stevenson-Warrington With Hearn

Bob Arum doesn't think Josh Warrington switching promoters will prevent Warrington from fighting Shakur Stevenson later this year. Stevenson's promoter still expects their featherweight title unification fight to take place this summer in Warrington's hometown of Leeds, England. Putting Stevenson-Warrington together now will require Arum's company, Top Rank Inc., to work with Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn, who announced Wednesday that his company has re-signed Warrington to a promotional deal.

Hot dog. I apologize to Shakur, I never expected the Bob father to be so magnanimous. Shakur already said he would do it, so Hearn doesn't have to haggle. They're going to sell out an arena.

I would make the fight too if I was Arum. Warrington only has 7 stoppages in 30 fights so he doesn’t have enough power to pose any real danger to Stevenson. Another easy belt.

Stevenson realizes that with his boxing ability he can coast to a fairly decisive victory. Warrington is tough but lacks the power. It may not be the most exciting fight but they are two unbeaten champs. Hope it happens.

“ He may be a crappy promoter in America, but in England, he’s a very good promoter” - Some of Bob’s lines are fantastic. Even in his 80s, this guy is onpoint

I'm sure Hearn can't wait to fulfill all of Bob's wishes....sure!

If anything, Hearn will try to make Xu Can fight. If not, he'll try to make Russel Jr fight.
If Bob and ugly Shakur were so sure Hearn has any interest in fulfilling their wishes, they wouldn't have started begging Hearn immediately after the news broke.
