    Kell Brook says he is keen to go down any road that leads to a world title shot after starting what he believes is the next chapter of his career with a knockout win over Mark DeLuca in Sheffield. The former IBF welterweight champion took seven rounds to get rid of the former US Marine, who was brave, but outclassed. If he gets a world-title shot this year, as he wants, the next step up is a big one.

                              It wasn't a left hook that finished the show it was a perfectly timed stiff left jab. Brook has always had power and timing and switches effortlessly.

                              Granted, his timing was off early on in the fight and he got hit more than usual but he's just had his longest stint out of the game and clearly wasn't too worried about was coming back.

                              Much sterner tests to come but folk need to remember Kell turned pro at Welterweight as a teenager and after fighting GGG up at at middle (after multiple welter rivals turned him down) drained himself back down to Welterweight in his 30's to fight Spence where he was up on the cards at the half way point, then gassed.

                              Watched his fight against Shaun Porter the other night and it would have taken something very special to beat him that night on away soil. Hope we never see him at Welterweight again.

                                      I'm a fan of Madrimov. Not sure he's ready for Soro though.....
