Manny has a point. I’ve only seen a few fighters historically get hurt really bad or stopped and come back strong and dominate the fight or stop their opponent or dominate the next fight.

Floyd being seriously hurt by Shane, not once but twice in the same round. The very next round and every round after, Floyd dominates Shane

Lennox Lewis comeback knockout wins fights against McCall & Rahman after being knocked out by both.

Foreman being dropped several times against Ronnie Lyle

Willie Pep dominated Sandy Saddler in a rematch after getting knocked out in the 1st fight.

Anthony Joshua beating Andy Ruiz Jr by unanimous decision after being dropped 4 times and stopped in the 1st fight.

Terry Norris beating Simon Brown in a rematch after being knocked out in the 1st fight.

Floyd Patterson stops Ingemar Johansson in a rematch after getting destroyed in their 1st fight.

Joe Louis scores a devastating knock out against Max Schmeling after getting punished in their first fight.

Diego Corrales hurt badly and dropped twice in the 10th round before stopping Castillo

Tyson Fury almost knocked out in the 12th round against Wilder, in the rematch......????

        Messed up that Floyd won't.
Floyd’s never going to give a shout out to non-pure boxers. I think the most genuine compliment he has ever given was to JMM back when JMM wasn’t that well known yet, before the Pac fights. Mayweather complimented JMM and called him a skilled boxer. Other than that, he gave props to Chad Dawson. But usually he doesn’t have anything good to say about anyone, not even his opponents. He did give Cotto props too.

He doesn’t have any. Best bet is to just go for the KO.

I knew someone would type this. He has a better defence than given credit for, and a decent jab. He can box and set it up before if he goes looking for it solely - one day it won't come.

His defense is his chin imo.

I like Wilder, i’m a fan. I think he will beat Fury by KO this time, and then he will beat AJ by TKO. And he can beat anyone else, Ruiz, Parker, White, Usyk, Povetkin.

But he sucks at actual boxing. It’s weird, he really does suck. He should not have as good a record as he does with his lack of boxing skills. His chin and power wins him fights. It’s the most amazing and weird thing of any fighter in the last 20 years imo. Many fans hate it, how unskilled he is, but I think it makes him unique. Fury, AJ, Usyk...all are better boxers than Wilder. Yet they probably won’t beat him.

If he tries to box anyone in the top 10, he will lose. He needs his power. Ortiz was schooling him before the KO in the rematch. If he tries to box Fury, Fury will easily outbox him. You know what wouldn’t be easy for Fury? Taking too many of those power shots. So Wilder needs to aim to land as many power punches as humanly possible. Just go for it. 1st-3rd round KO. You’re not a good boxer, stop it. Throw those windmill punches and knock him out.

This is something that Wilder can't get from Floyd.

I find Wilder intriguing and frustrating. I like the guy. I watched Ortiz probably win every single round in the rematch, take the centre of the ring and use angles. The minute he got boxed in, the fight was over. That's impressive from Wilder and also feels like a PlayStation cheat code.

Wilder could very well KO AJ but if AJ lands on him, it's done also. That fight is down to who makes less mistakes (you could say all fights are, but skill etc comes into it too with other fights).

I actually think Wilder boxes reasonably well when he tries to, the problem is as of recent his power has been magnified so much that he has actually fallen in love with it. He didn't even try to box against Ortiz as he knew his chance would come. I want him to box because one day, someone will be switched on for the entire fight and that shot may not come, or come and not take them out. Then he's in trouble.

floyd gives half-azzed props to boxers ONLY if they're way below him... the minute they start knocking on his door, that's when they become a bum.

The fight isn’t going to promote itself. Most boxers suck at promoting. Mayweather is known to single handily carry promotions with his talking.
