Not everybody can find a champ who's 57-8 with 4 KO losses after losing to a guy who was 1-1.

As i stated earlier he is going to be avoided like the plague unless its a mandatory fight.
He is a real problem for anyone.
He really pushed GRJ to the very limit.
He might want to push for a fight with Kid Galahad, if Stevenson fight Warrington.

I don’t like Russell at all but he does deserve credit, especially in hindsight. His only loss came against a guy who’s IMO the very best fighter on the planet, and then his win over Joseph Diaz looks very impressive considering what Jo Jo has gone on to do. I just wish he’d stop being a diva over higher purses and fight more often cause he’s a damn good fighter.

Galahad will probably sit tight and wait for the IBF to call the mandatory.

They should keep Tug busy, put him in with Ramirez, Thepora etc. He’s got good attributes but needs more experience to beat the very top guys.

He just needs more experience. He’ll have learnt a lot from this loss.

I’d like to see him fight more regularly this year. PBC are pretty deep at 126 so it shouldn’t be an issue to find him some interesting matchups.

King Tug is solid fighter however JoJo Diaz was actually touching up Gary Russell & is a more skilled fighter...King Tug can possibly beat a champion/type of fighter like Josh Warrington

You're probably right. I don't know how some of these guys get ranked so high, with so few fights. The WBC ranked King Tug #1 with a record of 11-0 w/ 9 KOS, yet they don't have my boy Jaron "Boots" Ennis ranked in the Top 15, with a record of 25-0 w/ 23 KOs? How does that happen? In fact, the WBA does not have him ranked in the Top 15, the IBF has him at 15, and the WBO has him at 13!

I've never read where he had a problem with a purse. I think people assume that's the problem, but I really feel like cats just don't want that work.

Ennis’ level of competition has been pretty soft thus far. (Which is understandable when you turn pro at 18) I agree these ABC rankings are generally terrible though.

I expect 2020 will be his break out year, he’s a very talented fighter IMO. I’d like to see him face a Granados, Lopez DeMarco, Collazo etc type next, I think that would be a good measuring stick.

I do accept that certain fighters aren’t all that interested in fighting him though. I think he’d beat anyone of the current 126 title holders, including LSC.
