The importance of being your own man

This business of stacking your su****ion or belief on top of someone else’s su****ion or belief and then filing it away as fact in your pea brain is called “group think”. It often occurs in a place or forum where views are allowed to run unopposed.

This circle jerk has been going on for too long.

Canelo did not defeat GGG clearly in either fight. There are some who’ve fallen prey to group think and are dug in deep on this crazed belief.

Wilder can’t fight in the inside or throw body shots. He is not going to magically learn how to do something he has never done in the gym. That’s not how training works. You got to do something repeatedly in training to ensure you do it when the bullets start flying. If I wasn’t here to stomp this little group thought out when it started then who knows how far this particular epidemic would have spread.

Check yourself and ask if you truly believe something to be true or if you believe it because someone else does. Think independently. Because when the end times come and everyone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off then you will too, because you’ve conditioned yourself to follow others regardless of whether they know the way.

Well even living in total isolation, your thoughts and perspectives are almost entirely the sum total of your experiences to date. When people say "think for yourself" it's something of a falsity because you can only take and apply, what you know so far. True evaluation is very difficult to do without proving out every single source and it's validity anyway, which i very much doubt the average or even the select few boxing fans really do. We might even think we are objective and neutral, but unconscious bias is very difficult to deny in most people!

How about part of being your own man is not worrying about what the next man thinks?

A man doesn’t let some little chit for brains infant walk towards an electrical socket with a fork. That’s the service I’m providing here.

You had time to edit this smart ass comment but ignore the poster above who had a valid interesting contribution. So what are you here for? Self aggrandizement?

It was valid. What was there to argue against? That was clearly a case of two adults having a different way of seeing things. I’m here to stop the spread of bad or misleading misinformation.
