There’s nothing to break down. Loma was clearly the bigger fighter in the ring against Russell jr and it played a huge role in the fight. If you are arguing that the size difference didn’t matter and it was all about Loma’s footwork then you can continue believing that.
What were the fight night weights?

If you’ve got 2 relatively equal skilled fighters with one fighter having a clear size advantage over the other then the bigger guy is going to win 8-9/10 times.
I don't think they're equally skilled, that's the thing. maybe an extra bit of reach makes it tougher for loma to deal with Russell's flat footed one speed flurries, maybe not...but loma would have still been hitting him just the same and he'd still be stepping out or blocking most of what came back.

Well that’s your opinion and that’s good for you, but I’ve made it clear that I don’t agree.

            Crawford 157 - Diaz 161

So as far back as 2016 he was coming in as high as 157 at junior-welterweight

Per his S&C coach on bulking up to fight at welterweight

''We've trained harder since his last fight, putting more weight on him - good weight - putting some more muscle on him, and just getting him bigger, because we've always know he was going to have to move up in weight eventually, so that was a big part of it - just getting him heavier''

''He has easily put on 10lbs of muscle all the while by maintaining speed and athleticism.''

            Terence Crawford 74'' reach
