His straight right is devasting to the head, but I've never seen him hurt anyone to the body with it? Why?
How come Wilder can't get a KO to the body?

Because he doesn’t really mix it up. I was looking for that in the Ortiz’s rematch. To slow Ortiz down, but to be honest he didn’t need to slow Ortiz down, that happened naturally due to age, he just bid his time and throw the headshot once Ortiz lost his focus, but yeah it would be nice to see Wilder throwing to the body once in a while.Comment

Wlad couldn’t throw body shots either. Lennox looked awkward when he did. A lot of really tall guys struggle to the find the leverage required to hit while not getting hit. It’s especially discouraging to try when you’re chinny as Wlad, Lennox and Wilder are. Best to stick with quick punches that allow for you to pop right back to defense.Comment

Because his straight right is the strongest. His hooks are not that strong and, secondly, he does not hit the body very often in his fights as it is practically not possible to hit the body with straight arm. Lastly, Wilder is not technically good fighter.Comment

You try being 6ft7 with not much of a solid build on your lower body.all his power and leverage comes from the top combined with superior twitch fibers. He want get much leverage and momentum bending down trying to go to the body he's going straight for your massive head lolComment
