I've always respected boxers regardless of there ability it takes balls to fight for a living risking brain damage. I used to box as an amateur 9-1 record. and soon realised it looks easier than it feels getting punched in the head.
I know exactly what you mean. I was in the Am's for a good while. I can relate. Coached a few guys as well. Im also a fan. I can see a guy being drunk paid money to see a fight and the guy cheats or quits and people get mad (as they are drinking also) and throw shlt at the fighter because they are pissed. But Wilder didnt do anything to anyone. And hes a good dude also. I wish someone would have knocked that guys teeth out his face.

        Northern Irish people aren't British.
I dont know why i mentioned England. My bad on that.

Why do people from N Ireland identify as British?

And N Ireland is part of the UK...correct?

Britain is the island with Scotland/England/Wales

Ireland is the island with Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland.

Which explains why they say Brits acted this way and claimed UK...not Ireland.

You wouldn't call the Irish British?
It's a silly bit of semantics. The Northern Irish are Irish in one sense because they're from Ireland but they are technically British citizens.

It's honestly one em tricky ones that I shouldn't have even brought up cos there ain't one good answer and you're only gonna piss someone off. FWIW I respect everyone's right to self identify so personally I'd have to say it's down to the individual. Guess you'll get many Unionists reckoning themselves British and many **********s reckoning Irish..

Technically they aren't British, Britain is England/Scotland/Wales. They call themselves British because there's no such thing as UKish. They are Irish.

Britain = British. Northern Ireland isn't part of Britain. They're Irish.

If they call 'emselves British - or some of the Unionists do, then that's what they are I'd say. But who am I to judge...?

Simple fact is the terminology is so imprecise there's room to make either case. Anyways I ain't standing on either side and it was just a silly bit of humour that misfired.

There is this though, Apparently the courts have declared that the Northern Irish are British... doesn't really seem reasonable to me but...
