Why is there so much hate on NSB for GGG?

What their stories and careers actually tell us now... canelo us a multi weight world champion and beat ggg, has beaten some future hall of famers. Ggg has not. And I asked you how many times had canelo count at 160 not middleweight, I said 160... that was his first fight at that weight, why? Because ggg won’t ever move (unless you’re Steve rolls) and fight at any other weight... ggg resume is garbage, and It’s debatable if he’ll make the hall of fame, canelo would be first ballot hall of fane right now.
Mosley was 40 freaking years old when they fought.

Like for real. GGG beat no HOFs?

Well how many HOFs were at 160 when GGG was there?

Literally you have 2012, when he arrived in the states until Canelo in 2017.

Have them pull up anyone from 154-168 and no one called GGG out until at least 2016 or he beat them.

Ask them what ATGs were at 154-168 in that time? Because the answer is literally ZERO.

Maybe theres Cotto but Cotto was old and isnt an ATG at MW and he blatantly refused to fight GGG.

And they cant even say Andre Ward because Ward was a not HOF before Kovalev and he was at 175.

So who? Literally anyone worth a name ducked GGG and everyone else got beat.
Yes well said my friend...that's always kind of been my point about GGG...his run through those 10-15 good pros, in their primes more or less, at their best weights, was really impressive to me...and I say that as someone who has studied boxing quite a bit...so I know how guys fare more or less against against that level of competition in that many fights.

Almost always they come back to earth in some of those fights...lose one or two, have a couple close ones etc...GGG never did and that just has always impressed me...people can spin stuff however they want, but that's how I saw it.

And yes, as you alluded to...even ATGs VERY RARELY face other ATGs or HOFers in their careers, certainly in meaningful fights...and by that I mean rarely do greats ever face other greats when they are both great...greats usually have about 2 or 3 fights vs other greats...and so far GGG has 2...most of the time, greats are .500 in those fights...I think GGG is 2-0...most sane people say he is at worst 1-1 in those fights.

But yeah in any event good post man...kind of echoes my sentiments there as well...HOFers and ATGs are not just out there floating around...90% of any boxer's resume is based on what he did vs a solid pro...that's 9 out of 10 fights...most guys with about 20 meaningful fights in their career if they are lucky.

So yeah that leaves about 2 or maybe 3/4 fights vs other truly great fighters...it just very rarely happens!! And again if you study other fighters, even past greats, they very very rarely dominate against other good pros as much as GGG did in his run...my 2 cents anyway...am all ears if someone can point out a few fighters who disprove that narrative.

It is so tiresome, having convos with 'real fans' (not casuals), who really try and swear that wins like a UD over a 40 year old Mosley, at LMW...is a great win!!!

Like I can understand a casual being tricked by that...but all of us on here should know better...just sad really...well said Tony.

Lol I don't mean to laugh at you, and appreciate your response, sincerely.

I just chuckle because I gave GGG both fights largely through his activity...I would actually say that for Canelo, especially in fight 2 where he really fought well/better than GGG in spurts, what cost him the 2nd fight was his inactivity...GGG was just always scoring, especially with the jab.

Canelo had some good moments, but because of GGG's activity, imho, Canelo really struggled to get any clear rounds because he was always getting outworked...and GGG had a few rounds where he won clean to me because he outworked Canelo and landed the better shots in the round...I can't ever find one round for Canelo where he lands the better shots and outworks GGG, in either fight.

The fight GGG had with SD, that was an example to me of GGG not being active enough at times...but I think while that was the initial takeaway, it was really that Sergei was so active that he matched GGG's workrate, or even slightly surpassed it at times...they had quite a few rounds where they both landed 20+ punches...I don't know if Canelo landed 20 on GGG in any single round...Sergei fought him really well that night and Sergei's activity made that a real close fight...if he didn't get dropped and cut in the first 2 rounds he probably deserved a pretty clean win there.

In any event, thanks for your reply.

You're giving a lot of opinions man and squealing and screaming for people to treat them as facts...no thank you, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion man.

I disagree with you on quite a bit of that...but many people do agree with you...and some of them are even pretty rational/unbiased people...not a large percentage mind you, but definitely some!

I don’t care who agrees or doesn’t bro, I judge boxing legacies in accomplishments... bot would of could or should ofs... example... canelo got schooled by Floyd maybe he should of waited to fight him later... but you know what? Who cares he fought when they fought and got schooled no biggie
