If it still makes less than 500k after all these claims of 100 million watching it in place of a commercial then it will be seen as an epic fail! I would shut up about such ridiculous numbers if I were them.
Last I heard they were expecting over 2 million ppv buys? Really.Comment

How do you know that? Why did they risk upsetting their most crucial partners if they're allowed to just sell the promo time? You're a boxing fan living in England, correct? Why do you think you're so knowledgeable about how ad & promo time is negotiated with a network?Comment

Does not cost fox anything to advertise they own programming..... They are given allotted time to do just thatComment

I don’t understand why fans think money was spent for Wilder Fury 2 commercials. Fox paid for the rights for the Super Bowl. It’s their time they can do as they please. Plenty of other commercials made up for it. And it only benefits PBC on Fox branding and awareness. If anything, you could say the opted to make money from other bidders wanting those spots, but then again, the trade off is that it’s PBC on Fox. This was all planned way ahead of time. More power to Fox and PBC, and way more viewership than Showtime’s ability.
If Fury wins, it’s a win for ESPN. The real question is, how the trilogy would play out should Fury win. If Arum likes the numbers, he could say ESPN+ PPV or no. Then you’ve got DAZN making offers for the AJ fight against Fury.
Should Wilder win, we’re back to A side vs B side with AJ gossipComment

Am going to reports in America. I would rather believe multiple credible news agents than random posters on here. And to be honest I don’t believe they would do any advert for free, considering how much the time slot cost.Comment

Wait a second Mr. Barrett. Where is your evidence that Fox could have sold the time they instead used to promo their own programming? Because I've shown you evidence that the NFL and Fox struggled mightily to find an additional 60 seconds when being pressured by their most prominent partners and had to reduce other on screen advertising to free up some of that time. You've shown no evidence whatsoever. You won't even say why you're so convinced that you're an expert on American TV ad inventory.Comment

When I first started lurking here, they had the most crazy ass details about boxing and boxers, that had really nothing to do with the actual fighting in the ring.
BS doesn’t really do that any more.
It’d why I signed up for BS in the first place, because of all the details they post about everything boxing related.Comment
