Y'all get pissed off at Wilder for answering questions....

Anyway, yeah, we all suffer, it's called being a GD adult. Fury's just a ***** who cries at night. Wilder's a man who thought about it and moved on. He should be the role model here.

Wilder is lying. Its just a BS story that he made up for attention Cuz it worked for fury in the last fight.

Interesting how most people here can’t seem to empathize with Wilder and Fury. Statistically, only a small percentage can. Something in the range of 5% of all Americans suffer from some form of mental health issue each year. Very often, the most successful among us are hardest hit. This is mainly due to the fact that people tend to think that once they’ve “made it” their feelings of depression and general negativity will melt away. Then, once they have everything they’ve ever dreamed of, and the problems remain, the feelings of negativity and depression are magnified. I believe these guys when they talk of depression and suicidal thoughts. It takes guts to make it public. Witness the unsympathetic and judgmental comments comments here alone.

“We all have mental problems,” said Wilder. “Ain’t nobody 100 percent. I’m crazy at times, you feel me. I go do things at times. I been had a gun in my hand before thinking about committing suicide. I mean, s---. It aint no different [than Fury]. Does anyone want to hear about my mental problems? I don’t think so.”

What difference does it make? What he's said is true. We all think about it at some point.....or you just have an easy ass life and should count your blessings, whatever. Those who feel the need to cry about it are just weak. Not admirable, weak.

But the same applies to Fury doesn't it? In fact he said so himself that it showed how low he was that he was considering suicide when he had his wonderful wife and kids to live for. The point is BOTH men overcame the struggle. Wilder's thoughts of suicide were not accompanied by drugs as far as we know and perhaps he even deserves credit for moving past his issues as quickly as he did.

Champ, its a good thing you did not become a crack-head during your trials and tribulations, like Tyson Fury.

5%? I might argue closer to 95% of adults suffer with bouts of mental illness, particularly depression. It seems that every adult I meet is on pills for something. It's crazy.

I just did a quick internet search for the sake of this discussion, and that’s what I came up with. I’m sure that a much greater number suffer from some form of mental illness in their lifetime. Judging from the comments, few here have experienced depression to the point of suicidal ideation.
